Aims

To provide a telephone helpline for relatives and friends of Prisoners, available 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.

To offer a free confidential personalised service to the families and friends from initial arrest, throughout any legal or court hearings, throughout the prison sentence and to aid the resettlement of the prisoner back into the family home upon release.

 Long-term aims

• To encourage more families to use our services
• To extend our project to every prison within the West Midlands area
• To take on more full-time staff and train more volunteers
• To increase SHARP's funding

At SHARP we believe that the resettlement and rehabilitation of the offender can begin at the time of arrest.
