Court Helpdesks

The SHARP Court Helpdesks at Birmingham* and Shrewsbury Crown Courts are there to help you if you have a relative or friend who is awaiting trial.

Our helpdesks in Birmingham and Shrewsbury Crown Courts are run by SHARP Court Volunteers who provide impartial advice exclusively to defendants in Court and their families and friends.

SHARP Court Volunteers have a wealth of experience in supporting the families and friends of defendants. Many have first hand knowledge of the Court and prison systems and may themselves have had family members who have been through the process.

All our Court Volunteers have been carefully selected and trained to provide you with the best possible support and information at Court.

Our Court Volunteers can also support you if you have a relative or friend who is awaiting trial at Courts in Wolverhampton or Stafford.

*The SHARP Court Helpdesk at Birmingham Crown Court is not operational at the moment but we hope to launch the service again in the future.
